AAKF has called wealthy Muslims to stand beside its winter clothes distribution program.
During winter, distress abounds for People in villages. Those who live on the street of urban areas due to extreme cold is inexplicable. The winter here in Bangladesh is characterized by heavy fogs and extreme cold winds which make people’s lives miserable.
While life for those who afford comfortable winter clothes is liveable, those who do not afford such clothes encounter the pains throughout the winter. In villages, where mostly poor people live with no modern cold protection system, winter makes destitute people’s life terribly unmovable. In a country of unlimited poverty, and homeless people sleeping on the street, winter is always a hard time. Street Children and homeless elderly who live on streets in urban areas are seriously affected by this cold. Initiatives to stand beside these people exist, but are insufficient to meet the demands of affected needy people.
Like previous years, therefore the Allama Abul Khair Foundation has decided to organize project of winter clothes distribution to manage blankets, jackets, sweaters and other winter clothes to needy people in Chittagong and Cox’s bazaar areas.
